‘Work It’, the new dance movie will be streaming on Netflix August 7. The trailer for the film, stars The Hate U Give‘s Sabrina Carpenter, You Tuber Liza Koshy, and the hunky new romantic rival from To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You, Jordan Fisher.

The movie revolves around a brilliant but clumsy high school senior, Quinn Ackerman (Sabrina Carpenter) who vows to get into her late father’s alma mater by transforming herself and a misfit squad into dance champions. Quinn is a straight A student, never gets into any trouble, is very studious and knows exactly what she wants to be, where she wants to go to college and how she is going to get there. So she forms a ragtag team of dancers in hopes of impressing the school at a dance competition. The only catch here is that she does not know to dance, and Quinn feels that dancing is the only way she can make it to her dream college. So now she needs to learn how to dance as her dreams depend on it. Enter Jordan Fisher as Jake Taylor, a talented-but-troubled choreographer and dancer, to help Quinn lead the team. This feel-good teen dance comedy is about finding your passion. Sabrina Carpenter and Liza Koshy’s friendship is something to look out for.

The film is written by Alison Peck and directed by Laura Terruso, with choreography from Aakomon Jones and produced by Alicia Keys, Leslie Morgenstein and Elysa Koplovitz Dutton.
